Minoan: This was a peaceful civilization which lived on the Greek island of Crete. They were around from 2000 to 1400 BCE. Archeologists have every reason to believe that during their 600 year existance, they were a peaceful group, but when the 600 years ended, they would be taken over by the Mycenaean people. They had jewelry made from precious stones, good pottery, good hygiene, and a written language that has yet to be translated.
Mycenaean: This was a civilization more based on war and expanding their territory. They started 300 years after the Minoans, and learnt a lot from them.However, they had many wars, and believed that once you die, you should be buried with your weapon. Like the Minoans they had a Godess, but a less peaceful one. They had advanced plumbing, and also had a written language, but one that has been translated. In the end they were taken over by the Dorian Greeks.
I expect that the Greek people would be more territorial. To continue their trade over seas. To keep their plumbing, their form of government, and their gods.
